During the two-day symposium, the participants will come together with successful, renowned scientists of diverse professional backgrounds including academia, industry, scientific publishing and sociology.
The symposium is funded by the "Excellent science" programme of the Ministry of Education and Science (formerly Ministry of Science and Higher Education).
The PINE platform provided by Lively.pl will be an ideal environment for participants and speakers to interact and to share their experiences during the talks, the scientific speed-dating sessions and the round table discussion.
The program that we have designed includes numerous lectures and three workshops. Due to its international character, the symposium is held entirely in English.
Registration is free of charge, but we have a limited number of places so secure yours now!
The 1st Women in Science Symposium (WiSS) is an initiative of the postdoc community at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw, and it aims at increasing the awareness of young scientists of their own potential and career opportunities, with special emphasis on women's presence in the scientific world.
The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB), established in 1999, is one of the most modern research institutes in its field in Poland holding the A+ category resulting from the parametric evaluation of research entities in Poland by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. It was created with the support of the Polish Government, Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) and UNESCO, based on a separate parliamentary bill.
